Polaris Instruments hits the buffers
For some years Polaris Instruments has been making a laboratory degasser but customers were telling it that the one litre degassing capacity was not enough - so it has launched a bigger replacement
Not only can the new instrument, the MP21, de-gas up to 21 litres, it can also control the temperature of the liquid and dispense pre-programmed amounts from 200ml upwards with 1% accuracy Alternatively the unit can be programmed to dispense gravimetrically and it will automaticlly compensate for changes in density due to the temperature that has been selected
Furthermore the MP21 can aspirate several different components of the media and mix them as it degasses and adjusts the temperature.
Buffer preparation made simple! In particular, the abilities of this new instrument make it ideal for preparing the media used in pharmaceutical dissolution testing.
