Polymer assisted solution phase synthesis

A Polymer Laboratories product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 29, 2001

Polymer Laboratories announces the launch of StratoSpheres MP - novel macroporous copolymer particles for solution phase synthesis in combinatorial chemistry

These unique high load macroporous (MP) particles represent the latest technology in the rapidly growing use of scavenger resins for solution phase synthesis for drug discovery.

PL's MP resins combine the key aspects of rigidity, solvent compatibility and low swell characteristics with very high surface area.

Macroporous resins exhibit a significant increase in scavenging speed compared to traditional microporous-based scavenger resins: PL's StratoSpheres MP resins react regardless of solvent, manifest minimal swell, and are generally suited to high throughput screening applications.

StratoSpheres MP resins therefore provide an ideal material designed specifically for scavenging or solid supported reagent.
