Solid supported reagent for drug
discovery
The latest addition to Polymer Laboratories's StratoSpheres range of polymer particles is PL-Deam resin, a new solid supported reagent for the drug discovery market
PL-Deam (diethanolaminomethyl) resin, a new solid supported reagent, is the latest addition to the StratoSpheres range of polymer particles designed for solid phase synthesis and polymer assisted solution phase synthesis Boronic acids are widely used in combinatorial chemistry and drug discovery, particularly in Suzuki cross-coupling reactions - a key carbon-carbon bond forming procedure

PL-Deam resin is designed for the immobilisation of a variety of boronic acid compounds of the general formula R-B(OH)2.
This facilitates chemical modification of the boronic acid side chain group R, under anhydrous conditions, further increasing its chemical diversity.
Cleavage of the modified boronic acid is readily accomplished by treatment with aqueous tetrahydrofuran.
Alternatively, the Suzuki reaction can be carried out with the polymer-bound boronic acid derivative itself - ideal for producing biphenyl derivatives through reaction with iodobenzene derivatives.
PL-Deam resin is also designed for the efficient trapping of boronic acid compounds from solution, a scavenging application. Request a free brochure from Polymer Laboratories ...
