New range of fibre coupled diode lasers offers plug and play fibre modularity, extended wavelength offerings (405nm to 830nm), and improved optical performance

Point Source has launched a new range of iFlex2000 fibre coupled diode lasers The new range of lasers now offer plug and play fibre modularity, extended wavelength offerings (405nm to 830nm), and improved optical performance: M2 1.1

Higher powers for the 405nm, 440nm and 640nm units.

Improved noise performance.

True analogue modulation.

Calibrated linear power control for the continuous wave versions.

Long term thermal and mechanical stability.

Ultra high beam pointing stability (1urad/C).

The lasers all feature diffraction limited, single mode, linearly polarised (100:1) output beams.

Typical life science applications include laser scanning confocal microscopy, total internal reflection fluorescence (Tirf) microscopy, fluorescence recovery after photo-bleaching (Frap), laser cell manipulation and with the release of the new 440nm wavelength Foster resonance energy transfer (Fret).
