In conjunction with a 96-tip liquid handling head the Mirror Rack enables sample transfer into a 96-well plate in less than 40 seconds without the need to change pipette tips.
The result is a considerable increase in productivity for clinical laboratories.
The two halves of the Mirror Rack are colour coded to ensure samples are correctly placed, minimising the chance of sample confusion.
The first 48-position rack maintains cryo-vials in position to be sampled by half of the tips of a standard 96-tip liquid handling head and then dispensed into a 96-well microplate.
The second 48-position rack, a mirror image of the first, positions vials to facilitate the tips not used in the first part of the process to directly transfer further samples into the remaining empty wells on the microplate.
