Heat sealer optimised for plate sealing

Versatile new instrument has been designed to produce an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard microplate from 5 to 47mm in height for medium to high throughput plate sealing

Porvair Sciences has announced TriSeal - its new automated heat sealer optimised for medium to high throughput plate sealing applications The versatile new instrument has been designed to produce an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard microplate from 5 to 47mm in height

Offering adjustable temperature heat sealing from 50C up to 185C TriSeal is able to operate optimally with most foil and film seals.

Benefiting from a unique turntable design, which allows simultaneous loading, unloading and sealing TriSeal is able to achieve an unmatched plate sealing productivity of 12 plates per minute.

TriSeal has been designed for stand-alone operation as well as integration via RS232 connection with most robotic plate stackers and automated equipment lines.

In stand-alone mode a portable keypad/display unit that allows user definable settings to be saved and recalled for later use provides intuitive and simple control of the system.

A 610 metre sealing film roll enables up to 5000 plates to be sealed without intervention.

A swing out loading shoe feed design allows fast and easy loading of foil or films.

Pneumatically operated, the robust and reliable TriSeal requires only compressed air and mains voltage for routine high-throughput operation.

Established in 1987, Porvair Sciences has developed internationally recognised expertise in microplate technology and manufacturing serving applications in drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry, solid phase extraction, protein purification, high throughput screening, environmental analysis, proteomics and genomics.
