Heat sealer is easy to use, rugged, and
stylish

Porvair Sciences has announced the Thermobond 2 - a new heat sealer designed to quickly and reproducibly seal microplates with a specially prepared pierceable film or foil

The Thermobond 2 incorporates a new highly ergonomic reciprocating handle design to minimise RSI risk while creating a reproducible, high integrity seal every time The plane parallel action of the reciprocating handle ensures even sealing across the plate preventing sample evaporation or leakage during storage and transportable

A new digital timer and temperature display further enhance the ease of producing reproducibly sealed microplates.

The Thermobond 2 combines ruggedness and ease of use with a new smart industrial design.

The Thermobond 2 requires only one operation of the reciprocating handle to apply heat to the surface of the film, creating a fine melt with the coating of the microplate being sealed.

No adhesives are used.

High sample integrity is maintained as no heat is transferred to the sample during sealing.

To access liquid samples after storage, the seal may be pierced and the sample simply removed with a pipette.

Interchangeable sample mounting blocks and spacer/locator plates enable a very wide range of microplates to be sealed from 384-well plates to deep well storage blocks and bioblocks. Request a free brochure from Porvair Sciences ...
