The gamma/L can be driven externally in analogue mode via an 0/4-20 mA signal.
By linking the stroke rate to the input signal, an inversely proportional control function is created.
This allows the gamma/L to be used as highly cost-effective metering pump with integrated proportional controller.
The pump can also be controlled by external 0-1V or 0-5V signals.
In addition the pump can be controlled by voltage-free contacts, such as those from a water meter or a Dulcometer measurement and control unit.
Each incoming pulse corresponds to one metering stroke.This provides exact proportional dosing with no pulses suppressed.
In addition, the pump reacts instantly when pulses stop, unlike some types of stepper motor driven pumps which can continue to dose for up to two minutes after the pulses have stopped.
An optional pulse control facility allows pulse step-up and step-down ratios to be set for contact/batch operation.
In all operating modes, the pump can be switched on and off via a floating permanent contact using the 'pause' function.
For regular dosing duties, the pump can also be set to switch on and off under timer control, with up to 27 switching times set over a two week time period.
Comprehensive monitoring capabilities include provision of an input for a two-stage float-type liquid level switch, which provides a warning of low levels of fluid in the supply container.
A flow monitor can also be connected to allow each individual stroke to be monitored.
Error messages can be transferred to a controller via an optional relay.
