Profibus International has published a 116-page document describing applications of Profibus-compatible valves, pumps, drives, and other fluid power components
Profibus International has finalised the 'Profibus Profile for Fluid Power Technology' Published in English, this 116 page document describes the functionality of a family of interchangeable proportional valves, hydrostatic pumps and hydrostatic drives for use with Profibus
It defines the variables and parameters to be adhered to in designing transmitters, actuators and controllers as well as visualisation and operator terminals that will communicate over Profibus.
Such devices will need to conform to both the Profibus protocol specification and the new profile to be described as Profibus Fluid Power Technology compliant.
The Profibus Fluid Power profile can be ordered from the Profibus Group as order code 3.112, price £72 (User members £36) + VAT.
