Profibus and ethernet Made Easy - 5 June, Birmingham.
Process Applications Made Easy - 18 June, Manchester.
Led by industry experts, each event is designed to bring the audience up to date on the very latest industrial networking and process automation technologies.
The Implementation Workshop (3 June) for field device manufacturers who would like to implement Profibus at the hardware level features Manfred Popp, head of the Profibus Integration Centre in Furth and author of The Rapid Way to Profibus DP.
The Profibus and ethernet Made Easy seminar (5 June) is led by ethernet expert Paul Taylor of Hirschmann and Profinet expert Manfred Popp of Siemens who will show how Profibus and ethernet have been implemented in Profinet to offer a complete, seamless hierarchy of automation for modern manufacturing operations.
Andy Verwer, principal lecturer at the Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University will open the Process Applications Made Easy seminar (18 June) with an introduction to Profibus PA.
Other presentations will include field device tool/device type manager (FDT/DTM), user applications and system design for hazardous areas.
The safety seminar (4 June) will be led by technical committee chairman Wolfgang Stripf, with speakers including Andy White of the HSE and Sebastian Strutt of Erwin Sick.
Supported by a demonstration of currently available products, the event will bring delegates up to date with the implementation of the new Profisafe profile and generic Profisafe driver, enabling compliance to UK and international standards IEC 61508 and pr EN62061.
