Violet laser not only features nearly four times the power of its predecessor, but it provides significantly improved, diffraction-limited optical quality

Power Technology introduces its 185mW violet IQ laser diode module.

At 405 +/-10nm, the new violet IQ not only features nearly four times the power of its predecessor, but it provides significantly improved, diffraction-limited optical quality.

In addition, the instrument quality unit yields exceptional temperature control, thanks to its precision current source and PID temperature control loop, says Power Technology.

For users, these advanced temperature control mechanisms mean increased stability of wavelength and output power, making the 405nm unit ideal for even the most demanding applications.

Applications that can benefit from the stability and high output power of the 185mW IQ include flow cytometry, laser-induced fluorescence, bioanalysis, interferometry, spectroscopy, high-resolution printing, and microscopy.

The 405nm 185mW IQ can operate in either constant current or automatic power control mode and is available with CW or modulated output.
