Now available from Power Technology is a broad area 808+/-5nm laser diode that yields 7W of output from a single 200um emitter This new infrared diode is said to be an ideal choice for a variety of applications requiring exceptional brightness and high output power
The 808nm diode, which comes standard in a CCP package, can serve as a pump source for neodymium-based diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers.
Other applications include tumour therapy, ophthalmology, fibre laser pumping, and Raman amplifier pumping.
Users may also choose one of the company's many other specialised broad area laser diodes with wavelengths ranging from 740 to 1120nm.
