Used after protein identification by conventional search engines, this unique tool enables biologists to convert complex proteomics search results into biological sense within minutes

Proxeon announced today that the company has released an enhanced version of its proteomics data interpretation software, ProteinCenterTMv.1.5 Marten Winge, CEO at Proxeon explained, "The number of peer-reviewed publications that have included the use of ProteinCenter is growing significantly and results have been presented at several major conferences this year

"We are also encouraged by the number of users who are willing to join our webinars to demonstrate to colleagues how ProteinCenter has facilitated their bioinformatic analyses".

Morten Bern, director of bioinformatics, explained: "We have listened to our customers and put their ideas into the new version of ProteinCenter.

"To further enhance the ease with which user can interpret their data ProteinCenter now produces a map showing the location of all the identified proteins within the cell.

"We have also made it easier for users to extract results from ProteinCenter directly into their reports or publications by including several new export formats that support comparison of data sets".

ProteinCenter is based on a consolidated, biologically annotated, protein sequence database derived from all major protein databases to enable filtering, grouping of proteins and statistical bioinformatic analysis of single, combined or comparison proteomics search results - in other words, faster, more confident data interpretation using only one unique analytical tool.
