Genome-wide siRNA library delivered
Library synthesis and delivery to Novartis in just four months underlines capability in high-throughput siRNA synthesis
Qiagen reports that it has successfully delivered the first genome-wide siRNA library to Novartis, based on the agreement the two companies made public on 4 August 2003 "I am very happy that we have accomplished this task under a tight schedule and stringent manufacturing/QC condition
"In the short four month period after the initial agreement, we have synthesised a genome-wide siRNA library for Novartis and delivered tens of thousands of siRNA duplexes on time with quality.
"This is a testimony of Qiagen's capability in high-throughput siRNA synthesis and our commitment to pharma companies needs in RNAi research", said Patrick Weiss, Qiagen's vice president of gene silencing and co-inventor of the Tom RNA chemistry.
