Cost-effective, fully automated plasmid minipreps in a 96-well format for high-throughput sequencing applications

The BioRobot 3000 workstation and DirectPrep 96 BioRobot Kit provide a cost-effective, complete, automated solution for high-throughput plasmid minipreps in a 96-well format The fully automated procedure enables reproducible purification of plasmid DNA that is ready for direct use in high-throughput sequencing applications

The DirectPrep 96 BioRobot Kit integrates novel lysis chemistry, eliminating the need for a lysate-clearing step, with an easily automated one-plate procedure.

The integrated system enables cost-effective purification of sequencing grade plasmid DNA from 96 samples per run.

Typically, yields of up to 4ug high-copy plasmid DNA can be obtained from 1.25ml E coli culture grown in LB medium.

The yield of plasmid DNA is sufficient for several sequencing reactions and additional archiving of the sample.

Fully automated processing on the BioRobot 3000 workstation provides highly reproducible purification.

The streamlined workflow saves hands-on time and increases productivity.
