The QuantiTect Multiplex PCR NoRox kit (without Rox dye) provides a simple procedure for quantitative, real-time, multiplex PCR on real-time cyclers that do not use Rox dye for fluorescence normalisation For other real-time cyclers, the QuantiTect Multiplex PCR kit (with Rox dye) was launched in September 2004

Both kits support the maximum multiplex capacity of the latest real-time cyclers, and enable accurate and sensitive quantification of two, three, or even four cDNA or genomic DNA targets in parallel in the same tube.

Using the kits, as few as ten copies of each target sequence can be detected.

Both kits make real-time, multiplex PCR easy through the pre-optimised master mix and dedicated protocols, which have been tested for use with a wide range of real-time cyclers and sequence-specific probes.

The master mix uses new, advanced technology that virtually eliminates the need to optimis reaction and cycling conditions, enabling success in real-time, multiplex PCR at the first attempt.

In addition, relative quantification data are more reliable, since target and reference genes are accurately quantified in the same tube.

Since the kits save time and effort and provide high PCR sensitivity, they are ideal for projects where large numbers of samples or targets are amplified (eg, in genetic screening or target validation).

In addition, Qiagen assures lot-to-lot consistency through stringent quality control testing.
