QImaging brings streamlined, high-performance digital imaging to an expanded range of operating systems

QImaging, a developer and manufacturer of high-performance digital cameras for life sciences, machine vision, and OEM applications, has announced the beta release of a Linux QCam driver Supported by kernel versions 2.6 and greater that include support for raw1394, the new driver comes bundled with the Linux QCam SDK executable for QImaging's extensive selection of popular FireWire cameras

The SDK includes the QCam driver, driver library files, and source code for helpful examples that illustrate the simplicity of interfacing to QImaging cameras.
