Cilas is well known for innovation, reliability and excellent performance in particle characterisation using wet dispersion modules with laser diffraction and image analysis technology
Cilas reports that its new DJD2 dry powder dispersing module is now available It offers the facility to combine both wet and dry modules in one optical bench - the choice is software selectable with no need to remove and install additional modules
It is well recognised that many applications (products and processes) lend themselves to dispersing the sample in its dry condition.
Dry dispersion offers many benefits; it is extremely fast compared with wet analysis, it requires no solvents and the costs associated with disposing of them, and it allows the analyst to take a much larger and more representative sample than can be used with a wet system.
Quantachrome UK is the distributor for the Cilas product range in the UK and Ireland - it will have a demonstration DJD2 available from April together with a 1064LD optical bench covering the size range from 0.04 to 500 microns.
