QM Solutions introduces the Flash and Grow - said to be the first colony counter that grows and adapts to specific micro lab needs and which can have its automation and security features upgraded

The Flash and Grow is the latest in a highly successful series of automatic colony counters from IUL Instruments It combines sophisticated image processing and analysis with an innovative camera and light source to provide fast, accurate counts of bacterial colonies over a wide range of applications

The Flash and Grow modular approach allows companies to economically automate their colony counting processes and upgrade to a higher level of sophistication as the needs arises and budget allows.

The small footprint Flash and Grow utilises LED illumination for different types of nutrient agars and other growth media.

It ensures excellent contrast between colonies and substrate.

A high resolution CCD camera relays a live image of the sample to the computer screen.

Flash and Grow is said to be ideal for pharmaceutical laboratories development and production, food and milk testing, environmental monitoring and HPA Laboratories.

It lets the laboratory supervisor create different configurations optimised for each application; each configuration includes system settings such as type of illumination, detection sensitivity and prompts for sample codes and dilution factors.

QM Solutions offers comprehensive support for specific data processing requirements such as integration with barcode readers, Lims and other third party software.

In addition to full customer training and on site support of the equipment.
