A QM Solutions product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 31, 2008

QM Solutions has released the A400 Multipoint Inoculator and the QMS Cell Harvester.

The A400 Multipoint Inoculator is a precision unit for the multiple inoculation of petri dishes, replica and microtitation plates.

It is suitable for critical assay work and phage typing where rapid, high precision repetitive multipoint inoculation is required.

Any format of head between 5 and 100 pins may be used.

Inoculation pins are available to dispense 0.3 and 1.0ul volumes.

The A400 Multipoint Inoculator has dimensions of 180x410x255mm.

The QMS Cell Harvesters come in three versions: the Micro is the basic manual control model with a single harvester, designed for use with distilled water or buffered saline.

The Midi is an automatic version of the Micro and is suited to investigations where exact conditions must be reproduced.

The Midi also incorporates a hot wash function for safe disposal of radioactive waste.

The Maxi harvester is automatic and provides four wash fluid channels for multiple washing procedures with automatic change-over from one wash liquid to the next.

It incorporates corrosion resistant components for use with trichlor-acid.

A 'hot wash' version of the Maxi is also available.

The Cell Harvesters have a performance of 10^5 lymphocytes per well (maximum recommendation), though this figure is only a guide and can be exceeded with caution.

The Cell Harvesters have a 240V power supply, a 50Hz frequency, a fuse rating of one amp and dimensions of 520x330x170mm.

All of these QMS products have a 12 month warranty.
