Simultaneously performing up to 12 heated and stirred reactions, this reaction station adds new improvements in operational performance, ease of use and durability

Radleys Discovery Technologies has announced a new and improved version of its Carousel Reaction Station - which it says is the world's most popular parallel synthesiser.

Simultaneously performing up to 12 heated and stirred reactions (5-20ml per tube) the new Carousel Reaction Station retains the affordability, reliability and productivity of the original system and adds new improvements in operational performance, ease of use and durability.

A new low profile base has reduced heat-up time enhancing performance and lowering operating costs.

The small benchtop footprint of the Carousel Reaction Station means that it uses very little fume cupboard space.

Operating now from ambient to 180C (220C for short periods), with accurate temperature control to +/-0.5C, the range of possible reactions is increased.

An optional cooling model is available for low temperature reactions.

Every aspect of the Carousel Reaction Station has been designed for convenience and ease of use, says RDT.

The round design makes all 12 reaction tubes visible with no need to lean into the fume cupboard.

New quick release water coupling with cut-off valves enables easy connection or removal of the cooling water to the reflux head.

With no electrical or moving parts the Carousel Reaction Station is extremely reliable and maintenance free.

Offering a cost effective personal synthesis tool for parallel solution phase chemistry and solid supported reagent based synthesis the Carousel Reaction Station converts a standard single place stirrer hotplate into a 12-position stirred and heated reaction station with reflux cooling.

A central gas inlet and radial gas distribution system, combined with gas-tight PTFE caps, allow reactions under inert atmosphere.

The water-cooled aluminium reflux head provides efficient condensing and refluxing within individual glass reaction tubes.

Vigorous stirring and efficient mixing are provided using rare earth cross-shaped stirring bars.

The Carousel Reaction Station has been designed to enable individual chemists to join the chemistry productivity revolution at a truly affordable cost.
