Compact LVDTs offer big performance

The DCTH series of linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs) from RDP Electronics offer the features of a larger device in a small package

RDP Electronics' versatile DCTH series of short-stroke LVDTs integrate all the features of larger displacement transducers into a compact, rugged housing Specially designed for simple installation, using the optional mounting block, the DCTH's uncomplicated interface operates on commonly used DC power supplies, and with a range of control systems and digital to analogue conversions

No additional signal conditioning is necessary and the DCTH has a selectable range from 20mm and a choice of 0-10V unipolar or +/- 5V bipolar voltage outputs.

In common with RDP's larger displacement sensor ranges, the DCTH design adopts a low-friction, zero-contact coupling between the guided armature (either captive, spring-loaded or free) and the position sensor element to ensure very long service life.
