Transducers for demands of engine pressure testing

A RDP Electronics product story

With an increasing focus on improved fuel efficiency and low emissions, today's demands for engine testing call for accurate and reliable pressure measurement sensors

With an increasing focus on improved fuel efficiency and low emissions, today's demands for engine testing call for accurate and reliable pressure measurement sensors - a demand that RDP says is met by its FP2000 range of Honeywell Sensotec pressure transducers.

The FP2000 range is the result of four decades of direct involvement with the stringent demands of engine testing, including jet engines and diesel engines used for earth moving, as well as volume production engines used in the family car.

Examples of measurement requirements met by the FP2000 include oil, fuel, manifold and coolant pressures, as well as leak and barometric pressure.

Thanks to the flexibility afforded by the modular design of the FP2000, a wide range of tailor-made options can be offered with competitive delivery times and pricing.

Customers can select from a menu of pressure ranges, pressure port options, different electrical terminations and choice of current or voltage outputs.

All ranges enjoy excellent over pressure characteristics, a choice of 0.1% or 0.25% F.S.

and pressure ranges up to 10,000psi.

Other RDP Electronics stories

  • RDP enhances MTS Temposonics position sensors
RDP Electronics has announced that its non-contact MTS Temposonics position sensors can measure up to 30 positions along a common axis using a single sensor.
  • Economic solution for torque measurement
The model 1700 series of Lebow rotary torque transducers available from RDP Electronics offer an economical device for angle or speed measurement in research or industrial applications.
  • Load cell offsets side effects of side loading
Enclosed in a stainless steel casing the Model 31 range utilises rugged strain gauge technology that measures tension or compression forces applied to the centre threads of the load cell.
  • Differential transducer suits gas or fluid
The HLZ transducer measures the difference in pressure between two wetted ports and is offered with linearity options of 0.25% and 0.50% full scale for pressures ranges from 50psid to 7500psid
  • Sub miniature gas and fluid pressure sensors
At just 18mm in length and only 7.9mm diameter the Model S sub miniature pressure sensor is ideally suited for gas or fluid measurement and control in situations where a small device is essential
