Renishaw opens new offices of Shanghai Trading

Renishaw, a metrology company, has opened three offices of its wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai to support its rapidly expanding market in China

The offices in Chengdu, Shenyang and Qingdao, will complement the existing offices, providing sales and support services in across China.

Renishaw now has six offices across the country, with plans in place for further offices in major cities across the country.

Speaking about the new offices, Andy Buttrey, managing director of Renishaw Shanghai Trading, said: "We have seen rapid expansion of our business in the last few years, across all the product lines we promote.

"Our strategy is to build our operation in China for the future, opening offices across the country to facilitate communication is a key strategy for us".

Buttrey has worked with Renishaw in Asia for the last 13 years, with a specific focus on the Chinese market.

Renishaw opened its first representative office in Beijing in 1994, which was followed by a Shanghai office in 2000.

There are currently around 40 employees in China, conducting sales and support operations across the country.

The company is currently seeking sales and support engineers to work from these new offices, and is also recruiting home-based engineers to support customers in multiple cities across China, including Xian, Wuhan, Xiamen and Kunming.

Renishaw is also actively recruiting in Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai offices.
