Among the wide range of accessories for the mixer mill are adapter racks for five to ten reaction vials, so that it can also be used for the disruption of micro-organisms and bacteria

The mixer mill MM 301 is a true all-rounder, says Retsch It is used for the size reduction and homogenisation of a huge variety of materials, such as bones, tissue, drugs, tablets, ores, soil, plastics and many more

A classic field of application is reproducible dry grinding, eg for sample preparation for subsequent XRF analysis.

Thanks to screw-top, leak-proof grinding jars, wet grinding can be carried out in the MM 301 with 100% material recovery.

For cryogenic grinding of temperature-sensitive samples, the MM 301 offers the crucial advantage that the required pre-cooling of jar and sample only takes a few minutes.

This not only allows for substantial time savings but also helps to reduce the consumption of expensive liquid nitrogen.

Among the wide range of accessories for the mixer mill are adapter racks for five to ten reaction vials, so that the MM 301 can also be used for the disruption of micro-organisms and bacteria.

Grinding jars are available in volumes from 1.5 to 50ml and in six different materials, thus ensuring contamination-free sample preparation.
