Radiall sums up its product range in a brand new leaflet: non-magnetic RF coaxial connectors: SMB, SMA, MMCX connectors, cable terminations for PCB and cable assemblies
These connectors are the first to meet the non-magnetic requirements of MRI systems while maintaining the same level of mechanical and electrical integrity found in industry standard coaxial connectors.
The bodies and the centre contacts of the connectors are made from materials specially selected for their non-magnetic properties.
Manufacture and assembly take place in a purpose built assembly area where precautions are taken to avoid contact with ferromagnetic materials.
The new connectors' guaranteed magnetic distortion in the magnetic field is less than 0.5ppm at 10mm distance, between 0.5 and 4 Tesla.
The connectors range includes SMB, MCX, MMCX interfaces as well as PCB terminals, but other interfaces can be designed upon request.
