Industrial dry vacuum pump range from Welch offers improved performance for aqueous aspiration and drying applications in industrial and analytical processes

Welch has developed a range of four standard duty, dry vacuum pumps suited to a variety of aqueous aspiration and drying applications in industrial and analytical processes across industries such as electronics manufacture, materials processing, and other process sectors Built around economical Wob-L piston designs, the pumps combine high performance levels with compact size, and provide maintenance-free operation

Smaller and lighter than oil-sealed rotary designs, the new pumps offer the additional advantages of dry operation and higher pumping throughput.

The pumps provide ultimate pressures from 10mbar to 80mbar, and free flows up to 201 l/min.

The designs also provide more effective package than diaphragm pumps, with the smallest pump in the range typically half the size of a diaphragm pump that would be required to do the same job.

Designed for drying aqueous solutions and aspirating sticky or viscous substances, the range of four pumps is built around two models - the 2585-50 and 2565-50 - each offered in two different sizes.

Thus, the range provides two models with ultimate pressures down to 80mbar for applications such as cell harvesting, plate washing and central filtration systems, and two models with ultimate pressures down to 10mbar, delivering the deeper vacuum levels required for vacuum ovens, vacuum furnaces and degassing and drying applications.

Each pump is fitted with a vacuum gauge to monitor vacuum level, and an inlet trap to prevent the accidental ingestion of liquids or particles.

A variable orifice located on the inlet trap allows the user to set the maximum vacuum level obtainable.

All the pumps in the range benefit from volume manufacture, ensuring highly competitive prices.

A complete range of highly reliable and competitively priced Welch vacuum pumps and systems is available across Europe from ASF Thomas, along with local service and support.
