RTC gets ISO 17025 and ISO Guide 34 accreditation

A RTC product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Feb 12, 2009

RTC has received accreditation from A2LA as an ISO Guide 34 Reference Material Producer (certificate 2122.03) and as an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Testing Laboratory (certificate 2122.02).

Accreditation to ISO Guide 34 'General Requirements for the Competence of Reference Material Producers' requires that reference material producers assess each of their production and testing systems, evaluate uncertainties of property values assigned to all reference materials classified as 'Certified Reference Materials' and demonstrate traceability to SI units wherever possible.

Each of RTC's Certified Reference Materials is supplied with an ISO Guide 31-compliant COA, clearly indicating the uncertainty value.

Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 'General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories' addresses technical competency of the testing laboratory and, specifically, a laboratory's ability to produce accurate test and calibration data.
