First bench top instruments from RTS
Life Science
RTS's bench top shaker-firing solutions assist in the development, formulation testing and the collection of regulatory submission data, as well as validation of metered dose inhalers (MDIs)
RTS Life Science will demonstrate a new range of bench top, semi automation solutions for inhaler and nasal spray testing on 17 July 2007, during its open day The equipment will allow pharmaceutical development and quality control laboratories to benefit from many of the benefits of full system automation, in a cost effective, compact form

In tests, RTS's bench top shaker-firing solutions have been shown to achieve equivalent results to those obtained by manual methods when both used the same waste firing sequence.
Mark Fish, business manager for drug delivery automation at RTS Life Science, commented: "RTS is rightly best known for its large scale, bespoke systems and the company is now starting to bring the benefits of this significant engineering expertise to companies, laboratories and research organisations who require off-the-shelf, smaller scale, automated solutions.
"This represents RTS's first foray into bench top equipment, enabling companies to realise significant benefits compared to manual testing.
"Time and time again, laboratory tests have shown that automation not only improves productivity and data quality, but it also reduces the risk of physical injury to laboratory personnel".
RTS will be showing off all its latest systems from bespoke platforms for high throughput inhaler testing to the new bench top shaker-firing solutions range.
The open day will be at RTS's company HQ in Irlam, near Manchester.
