Automated Maldi plate spotter
Used in tandem with any HPLC system for precise proteome analysis with greater sequence coverage, it enables spotting in volumes of 10nl or more on up to nine micro-titer plates
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced AccuSpot, a new Maldi plate spotter that automates LC micro-fractionation, spotting and preparation for MS analysis Used in tandem with any HPLC system for precise proteome analysis with greater sequence coverage, AccuSpot enables spotting in volumes of 10nl or more on up to nine micro-titer plates in 96 or 384 format or 18 2x2 format plates

Spotting can be performed in either continuous or time-specific mode.
The AccuSpot features automatic addition of matrix solution, which can be applied at a variable rate between 0.1ul/min and 10ul/min, and a standard CCD camera that continuously monitors the spotting operation.
AccuSpot is said to prevent plate damage and eliminate cross contamination through the use of a half-contact spotting method, utilising plate sensors, and comprehensive status display of operating conditions.
Users control spotting conditions, such as the fractionation mode and compensation parameters for the instrument, from a PC.
Fine adjustment of spotting positions can be controlled simply with a user-friendly software interface. Request a free brochure from Shimadzu Scientific Instruments ...
