Modular LC discussed in newsletter

Summer 2005 edition of newsletter for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) focuses on modular liquid chromatography components

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has recently published the latest version of its global HPLC newsletter, LC WorldTalk In this summer 2005 issue, Shimadzu focuses on its new Prominence series of modular-type LC components, which is the culmination of over 30 years of design and engineering experience

In addition to a brief overview of Shimadzu's LC history and the major units of Prominence, this issue includes articles by the engineers behind the development of the Prominence SIL-20A autosampler and the CBM-20A system controller.

The SIL-20A incorporates a sub-10-second, ultra high-speed injection and a wealth of accumulated low-carryover technology, making it what Shimadzu says is the best front end possible for confident, low-level LC/LCMS determinations.

The company says the CBM-20A is the world's first HPLC control by a web browser, greatly improving user convenience and productivity.

Shimadzu's latest issue of LC WorldTalk also features an article on new Pathfinder column technology.

Developed by Shant Laboratories and Shimadzu Europe, the result is Shant's new polymer encapsulated silica technology that yields a product with unique chromatographic characteristics and dramatically improved performance.

The issue also includes an overview of the first LCMS-IT-Tof mass spectrometer, winner of both the 2005 Pittcon Editors' silver award and a 2005 R and D 100 Award. Request a free brochure from Shimadzu Scientific Instruments ...
