Transferring conventional methods to
ultra fast LC
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has published a new poster, Transferring conventional LC methods to ultra fast liquid chromatography (UFLC), providing useful guidance to the high speed technique
The demands for shorter analysis times continue to grow as researchers attempt to increase sample throughput While speed is certainly important, the integrity of the data is also vital

Chromatography data to 21 CFR Part 11
Latest version of client/server chromatography data system aimed at the pharmaceutical sector has new inbuilt features to ensure compliance with electronic signatures regulation
The need to meet these throughput requirements without compromising the data required has highlighted the important technical challenge of providing faster separation in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
In this poster, the authors examine the use of a method transfer programme for converting an existing LC method to an ultra-fast LC method for the determination of seven barbiturates.
The method transfer programme used here incorporated many of the required calculations to successfully transfer a conventional LC method to an ultra-fast method.
Results show a significant reduction in existing analytical run times and, in addition, UFLC resolution values showed good agreement with obtained values and closely matched that of conventional HPLC for the high-resolution analysis. Request a free brochure from Shimadzu Scientific Instruments ...
