The application followed a period of internal review throughout the company to ensure the best possible processes were in place in order to support continuous improvement, quality and customer satisfaction.
During the review period key processes were identified.
It is the control of these processes which is crucial to consistency in the quality of products and services and gives the foundation for a sound quality management system.
ISO9001:2000 is the latest step in a series of strategies that has seen Safelab become one of the UK's leading manufacturers of fume cupboards, laboratory furniture and extraction systems.
All products are supported by Safelab's own technical services department who have the ability to service and maintain Safelab's own build together with other makes of laboratory clean air cabinets.
Roger Guess said: "we hold the ISO standard in very high regard, as I am sure our customers do, and we intend to use the follow-up accreditation audits as an effective quality management tool in our ongoing efforts to meet customer needs and improve overall customer satisfaction.".
