Hotter gas for gas chromatographs

Gas generator makes hydrogen and oxygen resulting in a hotter flame, increasing the sensitivity of the FID for all compounds but particularly chlorinated species

Science Marketing International (SMI) has introduced Gemfid - a unique new gas generator system for GCs running FID detectors Gemfid generates pre-mixed hydrogen and oxygen to replace the hydrogen and air supply for a GC

The resulting flame is both hotter and more sensitive than with conventional gas systems and increases the sensitivity of the FID for all compounds but particularly chlorinated species.

With a completely safe and silent operation, Gemfid produces ultra high purity gas on demand for up to 3 FIDs.

In the event of the flame being extinguished, gas flow is stopped immediately.

Gemfid is compatible with all major brands of GC on the market and effectively replaces most of the gas cylinder inconvenience and cost in the lab.

SMI is introducing the system is looking to appoint distributors throughout Europe during the next few weeks. Request a free brochure from SMI-LabHut ...
