Analytical balance has 'unbreakable'
suspension
Now available for the first time ever is a new analytical balance which has a suspension system that is unbreakable, according to Scientech.
This concept is ideal for educational institutions who want analytical balances for students It is called the Zeta Series and is based on a new, revolutionary weighing technology developed by Scientech

A patent for this new technology has been filed and is currently pending.
The foundation for this new technology is based on a direct-loading weighing cell concept, which differs dramatically from a normal lever sensor design used in most analytical balances.
The lever designs use an electro-magnetic force restoration weighing cell.
Then to lessen the weight the cell has to detect, the sensor uses levers with a counter weight.
These levers use very fragile flexures, bearings, pivots, and pullers that are easy to break.
This is the reason that the most common failure mode for any analytical balance is a broken suspension system which is very costly to repair and not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
Scientech says it has now solved this failure mode.
Its new Zeta design does away with these flexures, pivots, pullers, and bearings.
This means that it is almost impossible to break the suspension system of a Zeta balance.
When used in combination with Scientech's unique and unequalled displacement detection system and digital servo, the result is a high quality, weighing sensor that can easily handle readabilities, even down to 0.1mg, for less cost, it says.
All 14 various models are made in the USA.
Also the attractive quality of this new technology is demonstrated by the CE mark of conformity, Scientech's ISO 9001 registration, and a new Zeta five-year North American warranty.
