The flues in the crown
The new three-storey educational and research laboratory facility is part of a proposed two-phase development that has and will replace the existing university facilities
SES recently crowned the University of York's new £6m chemistry D block with the installation of three extract flues Standing four metres in height and 24 metres above the ground, the stacks now complete the external appearance of this impressive new-build
The new three-storey educational and research laboratory facility is part of a proposed two-phase development that has and will replace the existing university facilities.
When completed its prime function will be to house research in organic and analytical studies.
SES was selected last year to install the £2m building services for the facility by Allenbuild, the principal contractor for the project.
