Quickly prepare custom competent cells
Transformation kit promises rapid preparation of competent cells from standard or unique host strains at efficiencies suitable for standard cloning purposes
Featured products include GlycoProfile I in-gel enzymatic deglycosylation kit, GlycoProfile II in-solution enzymatic deglycosylation kit, GlycoProfile III fluorescent labelling kit, and GlycoProfile IV chemical deglycosylation kit.
Each kit contains proteomics grade enzymes and standards and has been optimised to provide maximum yield in the shortest amount of time.
GlycoProfile I N-delysosylates and tryptically digests glycoprotein samples in 1-D and 2-D poly acrylamide gel slices for subsequent MS or HPLC analysis.
GlycoProfile II removes N-linked glycans from glycoproteins and is compatible with subsequent Maldi-TOF mass spectrophotometric analysis without interference from any of the reaction components.
GlycoProfile III: fluorescent detection of glycoproteins directly in Page gels without blotting or use of antibodies.
GlycoProfile IV chemically deglycosylates N- and O-linked glycoproteins with negligible protein degradation using trifluoromethansulfoxide.
"The launch of the GlycoProfile group of products is an exciting event that will significantly increase the pace at which glycoprotein research is performed in the lab, saving hours of preparation time and assuring accurate, consistent results.
"This line of kits is a new but quickly growing group of products that will continue to bring scientists from analysis to real answers each and every day" said Lisa Masterson, technical marketing specialist, Sigma-Aldrich.
