Making DNA extraction and amplification
easier
DNA is extracted from mouse tails and tissues, buccal swabs, hair shafts, and saliva in 15 minutes with no need for mechanical disruption, organic extraction, column purification or precipitation
Sigma-Aldrich introduces the SYBR Green Extract-N-Amp tissue PCR kit (product codes XNATSG, XNATG and XNATRG) This kit provides all of the reagents needed for rapid extraction, amplification and detection of genomic DNA from mouse tails and other animal tissues, buccal swabs, hair shafts, and saliva

DNA is extracted in 15 minutes with no need for mechanical disruption, organic extraction, column purification or precipitation.
The extracted DNA is amplified using the optimised SYBR Green Extract-N-Amp PCR Ready Mix with JumpStart Taq antibody to enhance specificity of hot start PCR and SYBR Green I dye to act as a non-specific reporter for real-time PCR.
"The SYBR Green Extract-N-Amp Kit that Sigma has developed provides us with a superior technology for both DNA extraction and detection," commented Keith Jolliff, global marketing manager of molecular biology at Sigma-Aldrich.
"We are very excited about the convenience, sensitivity and specificity of the SYBR green Extract-N-Amp technology and feel it is an excellent complement to our existing Extract-N-Amp product line".
