Commitment to service for Greek
customers
Sigma-Aldrich has announced that it expanded the capabilities of its subsidiary in Athens by establishing a local distribution network in Greece
This network is designed to ensure that the company's Greek customer base receive most common stock items within 24-48 hours and be provided with local technical assistance and advice The new distribution network has been established in response to a Greek market survey conducted by Sigma-Aldrich in Q3 this year, which indicated that a fast and reliable supply of scientific products was needed in the region

The company's Greek distribution network will be provided by: for northern Greece (Hpeirous, Thessalie, Macedonia, Thrace), Controla; for southern Greece, Chemilab; and for Crete, Cretachem.
Sigma-Aldrich will maintain its Athens sales office in order to provide consultation for customers for life science and high technology products and to coordinate the distributor network.
