Four element automated flame photometer

A Sherwood Scientific product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team May 21, 2003

Flame photometer now measures calcium as well as sodium, potassium, and lithium, with results able to be displayed simultaneously for specific industrial studies

Sherwood Scientific announces the model 425 as its latest flame photometer innovation.

The 425 now measures calcium as well as sodium, potassium, and lithium.

Calcium can be displayed simultaneously with potassium for plant and soil studies and with sodium for the paper and cement industries.

The Sherwood model 425 uses the same very stable flame and aspiration system that has powered its model 410 single and 420 dual channel flame photometers.

The 425 has a lithium-based internal standard system and an updated software allowing greater flexibility in measurement ranges and tighter control of results.

Integrated with the new model 860 autosampler and 805 diluter, the 425 can provide a system capable of unattended analysis at the rate of 90 samples per hour.
