Improved dynamic range is one of the major benefits of the Schott Nexterion Slide NC-D protein array slide, with its dark grey background to reduce auto-fluorescence and increase dynamic signal range

Schott Nexterion and Sartorius Stedim Biotech have launched an innovative dark grey nitrocellulose protein microarray slide Conventional white nitrocellulose films scatter and reflect large amounts of light, leading to high background fluorescence

To overcome this problem, Sartorius Stedim has developed a new process that adds light-absorbing black pigment throughout the micro-porous structure of the membrane.

The darker membrane has significantly lower background auto-fluorescence increasing the overall dynamic signal range when compared to traditional white membrane slides.

This offers a significant advantage for diagnostic applications where typically the signals are low.

The new Schott Nexterion Slide NC-D with dark grey membranes, is available in either a single, or 16 pad format on a standard microarray glass slides.
