USB data loggers extend product range
Data-logging specialist Signatrol has extended its range of miniature data loggers with low cost USB temperature loggers, based on the company's SL51T and SL52T devices
The SL51USB and SL52USB are self contained single channel instruments that plug directly into the USB port on a computer, thereby removing the need for any interface leads and reducing cost As with their counterparts, the SL52USB has a larger memory than the SL51USB, together with faster sampling rates and increased accuracy

Temperature logging tag travels with food
Signatrol's SL150 temperature logging tag represents a major advance in the remote temperature logging of chilled and frozen food during processing, transportation and storage.
In common with all Signatrol data loggers, the USB units are fully compatible with the company's standard cross-platform Tempit operating software, which provides a fully comprehensive data logging package.
The Tempit-lite version can be down-loaded free of charge from the Signatrol website.
This enables the loggers to be set up and the data read and displayed in graphical format.
As appropriate, data can be stored and retrieved at a later time.
The software can be up-graded to Tempit-Pro which provides various additional features such as data table view, export data to spreadsheet, email graphs, snap to trace, automated MKT (mean kinetic temperature) and F0 calculations.
With the capability of recording up to 8000 data points and a measuring range of -10C to +85C, these loggers are described as ideal for a wide range of applications including the storage and transportation of sensitive goods and energy management monitoring in buildings, factories and warehouses.
The built-in battery lasts up to ten years depending on sampling rates, and both units have a delayed start capability, allowing loggers to be pre-programmed up to one year in advance.
In addition to the delayed start feature, the SL52USB also has a 'start when alarm' function which inhibits data logging until the data logger has reached an alarm condition, making it ideal for temperature related fault finding.
The SL50 USB series is just part of Signatrol's extensive range of data loggers, mounting accessories and instrumentation, ranging from low cost single channel versions up to laboratory precision multi-channel devices.
