With its new humidity calibration laboratory, Sira can now offer customers fast and guaranteed turnaround times for projects.
The laboratory is ideal for use by customers wanting to test hygrometers from industries such as pharmaceutical, process, airline and offshore etc.
Sira can calibrate all commonly-available hygrometers, and the humidity, temperature, pressure and composition of the test gas can be varied over a wide range.
This range of specifications will allow calibrations to be carried out under actual conditions of use, which means that test conditions replicate the customer application fully.
The team of experts manning the humidity laboratory at Sira ensures that the right service is matched to the customer needs and that no corners are cut in delivering the calibration required.
With the opening of the new facility, Sira offers three service options: Premium, with turnaround times by agreement, and uncertainties as low as plus or minus 0.15 degC dewpoint and over the range -75 degC to +82 degC dewpoint.
Relative humidity instruments can be calibrated over the humidity range 5% to 98% and over a temperature range 10 degC to 90 degC with an uncertainty of plus or minus 1.5% of the rh value; Standard relative humidity calibrations are between 10 degC and 80 degC and 10% and 98% with a turnaround time less than two weeks; Fastrack for rh probes at 20 degC with slightly higher uncertainties and a guaranteed turnaround time of one week.
Customers wishing to have their hygrometers calibrated in the UK's leading commercial humidity laboratory should contact Sira directly.
