Autumn 2002 dates announced for series of courses covering calibration, measurement, accreditation, and auditing
The brochure details the duration, content and cost of the many courses on offer.
These include: Principles and practice of pressure calibration; Temperature calibration; Practical approach to uncertainties of measurement; Laboratory accreditation; ISO 9001 transition course (new course); and Auditing quality management systems.
These courses are held at Sira's Chislehurst site and Sira can also provide both laboratory accreditation and calibration courses at customers' premises.
This allows the course to be individually tailored to the customers' needs, ensuring the maximum benefit to staff and also ensuring that disruption to work schedules is kept to a minimum.
Sira offers two courses that are particularly suited to presentation at customers' premises: ISO 14001 awarness, and Internal auditing for ISP 14001.
The environmental management systems in place on site can be used as working examples to give staff practical experience with their current systems.
Each course is run by skilled, professional staff from Sira who are experts in the field of laboratory accreditation and calibration.
Many of the courses featured in the training brochure deal with 'hands-on' training and practical interaction, including demonstrations in laboratories and testing facilities.
