24-bit data acquisition by USB

Silverdale Scientific announces the release of the Lawson Labs model 301 USB-interfaced Delta-Sigma 24-bit data acquisition system designed for use with PCs and notebooks fitted with a USB port.

The Lawson Labs 301 can serve as a general-purpose stand-alone A/D converter for fixed or mobile applications or as a built-in data acquisition interface in a wide range of OEM instrumentation applications.

Up to 32 units may be connected to a single USB port using inexpensive USB hubs.

Two +/-5V true differential analogue channels are provided along with eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs.

The maximum single channel data rate is 400Hz at 21 bits effective resolution increasing, to 23-bits at 50Hz.

The 301 is a sixth generation Delta-Sigma design offering the high level optical isolation and input protection that has made previous models so reliable and robust in an industrial and laboratory environment.

Drivers are supplied for Win 98, with VB and C++ sample application code.
