512 element electrothermally cooled InGaAs array detector provides real-time high resolution spectral analysis of lasers, laser diodes and other sources from 1.1 to 1.7 microns

The latest additions to Stellarnet's family of fibre optic spectrometers extend the working range of these revolutionary instruments into the increasingly important near infra-red region.

A sensitive, 512 element, electrothermally cooled InGaAs array detector provides real-time high resolution spectral analysis of lasers, laser diodes and other sources from 1.1 to 1.7 microns - with prices starting at £12,000 the EPP2000-NIR is the lowest cost instrument currently available with this type of detector.

Array detection, with no moving parts, confers reliability, ruggedness and needs no routine servicing.

The system's modular concept and use of fibre optic coupling allows the user almost total freedom to observe from any angle or in confined spaces.

Other possibilities include remote measurements in hazardous areas or under clean room conditions.

Small physical size, lightness and the possibility of battery operation make the instrument ideal for portable applications.

The basic unit can be configured as spectroradiometer, spectrophotometer or fluorimeter, is PC controlled and is supplied with free data acquisition and display software.

Applications of the spectrophotometer option are extended by a range of immersion and reflectance probes and light sources.
