Equipped with a USB2 parallel interface that not only does away with the need for an interface card in the PC but is 40 times faster than a conventional USB1

Stellarnet's EPP2000C fibre optic spectrophotometer is equipped with a USB2 parallel interface that not only does away with the need for an interface card in the PC but is 40 times faster than a conventional USB1 serial interface, so that a full range wavelength scan can be collected in one millisecond Not only does this help to exploit the full potential of the virtually instantaneous spectra obtainable from a diode array spectrometer, but up to eight of these miniature instruments can be 'daisy chained' for simultaneous multi-channel applications

The EPP2000C has a nominal wavelength range of 200 to 850nm and a bandwidth of 0.7nm.

The basic unit can easily be configured for a variety of applications other than simple spectrophotometry - eg fluorimetry, colour measurement or spectroradiometry - simply by adding the appropriate fibre-optic-coupled measuring probe.

Its small size and light weight combined with the flexibility of fibre-optic coupling and the ease of connecting to, say, a notebook computer makes it ideal for portable applications.

Available sampling accessories include immersion probes that eliminate the nuisance of having to transfer liquid samples to cuvettes.

The instruments come complete with free Spectra Wiz software for rapid data acquisition and display, and system prices start at an attractive £3500.
