Headwall Photonics has announced the availability of the Hyperspec family of integrated hyperspectral imaging instruments targeted for life sciences, pharmaceutical, and process manufacturing applications.

Headwall, utilising the company's engineering experience as a supplier of high performance integrated spectrometer systems for spectral imaging and chemical sensing solutions, has broadened its product offering in the field of hyperspectral imaging sensors to include three new integrated instruments: Hyperspec-VNIR (spectral range of 400-1000nanometres) C series for demanding spatial/spectral resolution, D series for fast processing moving webs/scans Hyperspec-NIRT (Spectral range of 900-1700nanometres) X series for broad range of near IR commercial applications The Hyperspec family of instruments is said to be completely integrated, comprising an imaging spectrograph, a high performance detector, and fore-optics optimised for specific application environments.

Given the diverse application requirements encountered within commercial environments, Headwall's Hyperspec instruments can be customised with options to drive application-specific performance.
