Scienion extends drop-on-demand product
portfolio

With its Sciflexarrayer S3, Scienion has launched another model of its prize winning dispensing systems for ultra-low volume liquid handling

The piezo-driven Sciflexarrayer S3 system for non-contact dispensing was particularly developed as an economical entry for academic and R+D labs Holger Eickhoff, CEO of Scienion, explains: "With the Sciflexarrayer S3 we wanted to make our benchmark technology affordable for academic budgets

"This new S3 model is based on the same drop-on-demand technology as the higher throughput systems S5 and S11 offering all proven advantages of the Sciflexarrayer line".

The Sciflexarrayer S3 is specifically designed as a versatile tool for a variety of applications in genome and proteome research including non-contact arraying of DNA and proteins, biosensor loading, the production of cell transfection arrays and the preparation of Maldi targets.

The system is engineered robustly to handle the most delicate substrates in volumes from 100picolitres up to several microlitres.

A user-friendly state-of-the-art software allows for a flexible and convenient design of chip layout and for programming of individual spotting routines by users new to microarraying.

The Sciflexarrayer S3 will be presented at the Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) 13th Annual Conference and Exhibition, 15-19 April 2007 in Montreal, Canada. Request a free brochure from Scienion ...
