Excel spreadsheets stored in the Cyberlab ECMS system are protected by Cyberlab security features to control access to the workbooks or even specific cells in an Excel spreadsheet.
User privileges to view and update Excel spreadsheets can be controlled.
Moreover, Cyberlab's comprehensive audit trail features ensure a complete revision history of any changes.
For laboratories that may engage in frequent changes and modifications to Excel spreadsheets, a special Compare feature in the Cyberlab desktop tool lets users select two workbooks for comparison.
The Compare mode will highlight in colours new information in one workbook compared to another and changed or modified information in one workbook compared to another for easy visual inspection.
This feature is available for both spreadsheet cell contents as well as cell formulas.
Coupled with the revision control function standard in Cyberlab, this allows for determining any changes made in a workbook.
Check in, Check out feature provides for collaboration between knowledge workers.
The Cyberlab ECMS is described as the industry's only secure, web-based system designed to capture and warehouse all the electronic records across the enterprise.
Users can create laboratory reports and search, retrieve, data mine, and archive any type of an electronic record such as instrumentation raw data, reports, spreadsheets, documents, presentations and image files.
Cyberlab assists organisations in becoming compliant with FDA regulations when required.
Built using standard web technology, Cyberlab is expandable from a single user system to global multi-site implementations enabling global research collaboration and data sharing.
